The Iranian Water Diplomacy Association successfully held its General Assembly and elections for the Board of Directors and Inspector in a hybrid format (virtual and in-person) from January 11 to January 13, 2025.
The election saw the participation of 104 associated members of the Association. A total of 12 candidates contested 5 seats on the Board of Directors, while 4 candidates competed for the position of Inspector. Supervised by representatives from the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, a total of 554 valid votes were cast. The final results were announced during the General Assembly on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM.

Elected Members
In accordance with the Association’s bylaws:
Board Members: Prof. Dr. Mohammadreza Shahbazbegian, Mr. Mohammad Nabi Jalali, Prof. Dr. Mahdi Zargami , Prof. Dr. Javad Mirdar Harijani, and Prof.Dr. Farideh Mohammadalipour were elected as principal members.
Alternates: Mr. Hamed Hekmat Ara and Mr. Yousef Khalaj Amirhosseini were elected as alternate members.
Inspector: Mr Mohammad Amereh was elected as the principal Inspector, and Dr. Michaiel Hosseini was selected as the alternate Inspector.
